Cultural Intelligence: Becoming a High Functioning Leader in the Global Marketplace

Globalization demands new leadership competencies. In addition to the need for high levels of technical and intellectual competence (IQ) and highly developed emotional function (EQ), leaders need to be adept at dealing with cultural differences both in the U.S. and abroad. Basic demographic shifts in the U.S. indicate an increasingly diverse workforce, who while sharing the same dreams and aspirations as White Americans, have different perspectives and strengths to bring to the workplace. The competitive landscape demands that global leaders, regardless of ethnicity or nationality, learn to harness the energy and the competitive edge that their diverse workforces have to offer.

Program Features: This cutting edge one-day session will help leaders build an understanding of how to leverage cultural intelligence to achieve competitive excellence in global and domestic markets. The program will include the following:

Program Advantages: This highly interactive program is for managers and leaders whose jobs demand fluid cultural competence in multiple diverse settings whether it be working with Black or Latino direct reports domestically or working with counterparts and vendors in multiple overseas environments. Instead of presenting ethnic  stereotypes to memorize, it dynamically illustrates cultural norms in various parts of the world, including norms Americans take for granted. Participants will develop new awareness and observation skills, and will learn to apply those skills in real world situations.
